Last week was the US Open at Pebble Beach, one of the most scenic places in the world. For me it was an incredible place, a fantastic golf course, and probably my favourite course in the world to have played. (click here)

Unfortunately my recurring neck injury has come back again this week and so I pulled out of the Players tournament yesterday. I am on the way home now and eager to get back and get some treatment as soon as possible so that I am ready for Ireland next week. I have just finished the windswept Volvo Masters, the final event of the year. Unfortunately I stumbled into a 21st place finish after a disappointing finish on the final day. Overall though it was a steady rookie performance in my first Volvo Masters, which resulted in a 30th place final ranking on the Order of Merit, a big jump from last year's 71st final position. The Seve Trophy was a great week and it was fun to play a matchplay format at that level, and of course to be on the winning team made it all the more special.
