The D.A.R.E.
Dinner Dance took place at The
Notts Hollinwell GC on Thursday
24th June 2010. It was a fun-packed
evening of entertainment, including
an auction with superb prizes up for
grabs!

I would
like to say a very big thank you to
everyone involved in supporting my golf
day this year, it was a huge success.
Pete Harrison from my sponsors Callaway
donated some amazing prizes, Redbull
UK supplied something to give us wings
and many thanks to individual supporters
MMIB and AMS Solutions. Production Matters
donated the production for the evening
so a big thank you goes to Simon Rogers
for organising that. I would also like
to say thank you as always to Pellacraft
who help with the logistics of the day
alongside Winn Marketing who were our
event organisers.
Thank you to my coach, Hugh Marr, who
helped me with the golf clinic, that
went down really well and we had some
great feedback about it. Without our
celebrities we wouldn't have had such
a funny but interesting Q&A session,
thanks to Tony Woodcock, Ian Woan and
Chris Broad who entertained us all with
some of their stories, all hosted by
our MC Tim Stimpson. Teddy Sheringham
unfortunately couldn't stay for the
evening event but thanks to him for
playing during the day. Our auction
was very exciting with a live telephone
bidder from the USA who won the F1 package
to Abu Dhabi! The night's entertainment
was rounded off with a stunning performance
by X-Factor's Candy Rock. A brilliant
night and one that I hope to repeat
and go one step better next year. We
will keep you posted on the date for
2011 as we hope to be able to confirm
as soon as possible.
Overall I am very proud to say that
we raised a massive £18,408
for DARE UK.
David Gilbert, CEO of DARE UK said,
"On behalf of all at DARE
UK I would like to express a huge and
sincere thank you to Oliver Wilson,
for all of his support in helping to
raise valuable funds through his annual
Golf day and Dinner dance. Without his
ongoing support it would make it all
the more difficult for us to deliver
our programmes into schools, in what
are very challenging times."
| Thank you for your
support and I look forward to
seeing you in 2011, all the best,
|
