I'd like to thank everyone who supported
the D.A.R.E. Charity golf day a couple
of weeks ago. We still don't have
the exact amount of money raised,
but it is slightly higher than last
year. I will have a full update shortly.
Thanks for being a part of this event
and I can promise you that we are
already working to make it bigger
and better next year.
The 2008 Lloyds TSB Cardnet Oliver
Wilson D.A.R.E. Charity golf day was
played on August 18th at Hollinwell
Golf Club where 34 teams competed
for the Oliver Wilson D.A.R.E. UK
Charity Cup. We would like to thank
our supporters Lloyds TSB Cardnet
and Kevin Coles for their support
and participation in making this such
a wonderful event for the East Midlands.
I also wish to thank Callaway Golf,
Hugo Boss and RedBull for their support
of the event. Callaway again provided
the prizes along with Hugo Boss, and
Red bull provided refreshments and
entertainment as the players made
their way round the golf course.

In 2007 Oliver held the inaugural Lloyds
TSB Cardnet D.A.R.E. Golf Day at the
Notts Hollinwell Golf Club. The day
was a great success and the 44 teams
that participated raised £11,800.

The key message is to promote healthy
living and make positive life affirming
choices in relation to drugs, violence,
tobacco, alcohol and other harmful substances,
as well as promote a healthy lifestyle.
The purpose of the various programmes
is to develop a sense of responsibility
in children and adolescents, and give
