This past week at Bay Hill in the
Arnold Palmer Invitational was a week
I was really looking forward to but
in hindsight it wasn't a very bright
move. After having all four wisdom
teeth out the week before it took
me a while to get back into the swing
of things. I wasn't able to work out
or practice and prepare properly for
the event which was disappointing
and I could really tell how much the
operation had taken out of me. I was
pleasantly surprised at making the
cut but unfortunately I had two quadruple
bogeys over the weekend which ended
any hope of putting a decent finish
in for the week. In all honesty if
I had putted normal I would have actually
been able to contend but I didn't
so that was that! A disappointing
weekend but not a bad preparation
for two weeks time.
My concentration has already moved
to my debut in The Masters next week
in Augusta. I jumped in the car Sunday
and started the trek up to Georgia
for a couple of practice rounds to
get my eye in on the lush fairways.
I will then return next Sunday to
start the week with some media commitments
before planning my way around the
course. I will be taking part in the
legendary Par Three Tournament on
Wednesday which will be the first
buzz of the week and should help me
get my eye in for Thursday. All in
all it is the week I have been looking
forward to for the past five years!
