DIARY // A VERY BUSY WEEK // 25th August 2008

This past week was very busy as it started with my charity DARE Golf Day at the Notts Hollinwell golf course. The weather was very much the same as in Holland for me the past few days, a typical English day with cloud, showers and sun all thrown in at some point or another. We don't have the exact figures in yet but it looks like we managed to beat last years total, I will give you all a full update next week about the day.

As for The KLM Open it was an up and down week. Obviously there is a bit more at stake over this stretch of tournaments with the Ryder cup down to its final week before the team is decided. I managed to throw in some really good golf with some poor shots and mistakes which stopped me from finishing in the top five. However, on a more positive note I started to hit the ball better than I have for the last few months so it should keep improving over the next few weeks. I am in a precarious position holding onto the 10th spot on the team and could do with a really big performance this week at Gleneagles. Getting into positions like this is why we all play the game and really test ourselves when our dreams are so close, it's possibly the hardest thing to do so it will be a good test and one that I will learn a lot from. Fingers crossed!
