DIARY // WELCOME BACK! // 17th July 2007

Since the last update at the beginning of the year things have been going in the right direction. I came agonisingly close to my maiden win at The Johnnie Walker Championship in Thailand, losing in another play off to Anton Haig. However, that performance gave me a new confidence to compete against the best.

Since Thailand I have found a consistency that I have been looking for and now have to move that up another notch to where I am contending every time I play.

This week I am competing in my first British Open at Carnoustie and I am looking forward to the challenge. It is a course I know quite well but I have never seen it with its teeth fully sharpened. Usually at the Dunhill Links, Carnoustie does not play firm and fast like a British Open course should. So it will take a different strategy to tame the beast and avoid any sandy graves…
