Oliver Wilson's first appearance
at The Masters was always going to
be an intriguing one since Augusta
State College was his alma mater.
But how nice for the Englishman to
be going back as a player of real
substance.
Yes, he's still not won a tournament.
But, in following up his fine performance
at the Accenture Match Play Championship
last month - where he knocked out
Anthony Kim - with a tied fifth finish
on Sunday, the 28-year-old has shown
that he belongs at the elite level.
Wilson was one of four Englishmen
who finished in the top 20, the others
being Ian Poulter, Justin Rose and
Luke Donald.
