DIARY // HAPPY NEW YEAR // 13th January 2009

The Royal Trophy was a fantastic start to the season out in Bangkok... apart from the result. The Asian team came out fighting and on top form managed to dismiss the European team almost by the end of the second day. I think that there were a number of factors for the results but at the end of the day the Asian team played great and they deserved to win. It is a real shame and a result that hurts. I felt my game was in good shape and after an average display the first day I was pretty happy with the way I played the final two days. It was nice to earn a point in the singles as I played well and left feeling my game was in good shape going to Abu Dhabi.

This is the real start to the calendar season and the desert swing is going to be great. The next three fields are possibly the best ever for these tournaments so there will be plenty of World Ranking points up for grabs, and of course, three opportunities for a victory!
