DIARY // DISAPPOINTING // 12th August 2008

Last week the PGA Championships in Detroit turned out to be a very disappointing week. I had a great chance to cement my place in the Ryder cup team with a good performance. However it was not to be as I could not seem to find a fairway or hole a putt to get anything going which meant certain disaster around a course known as the monster! Oakland Hills is a brutal course but reasonably fair and I would have liked to be there with my A game as it really does challenge every aspect of your game, including course management and patience.

I am now spending a week in the states to prepare for the KLM Dutch Open next week followed by the Johnnie Walker Championships at Gleneagles where I will need to find the form that I was in earlier in the season to keep my spot on the team. I am looking forward to the challenge ahead as the next few weeks are going to be full of excitement and are going to provide an excellent stage to produce a much needed win.
