DIARY // UPS & DOWNS // 08th October 2007

There have been many ups and downs in the past few weeks. The Seve Trophy was a great week and it was fun to play a matchplay format at that level, and of course to be on the winning team made it all the more special. I was pleased to play so well throughout the week but unfortunately I came up against some in-form opposition and had tough matches all week. The quality of golf on both teams was incredible and I just wish I could find the same focus on the course when I am playing for myself.

I was looking forward to getting to the Dunhill this week and continuing my form, however 6 weeks in a row proved too much and I just couldn't find the form of the Seve Trophy. My amateur partner for the week was Helga Piaget who played well but we ended up missing the team cut too. So this week is a well needed rest before heading to Portugal for the Portuguese Masters in need of a big result to break into the top twenty on the order of merit and sneak an exemption into the HSBC Champions Tournament in November.
