DIARY // STATESIDE // 05th August 2008

After a much needed week off after the Open I have made my way over to the USA for a two week stretch that includes the Bridgestone Invitational and the PGA Championship. Two weeks of top competition is a great test to see where you are at and helps give me another insight into what needs improving. This past week in Akron, Ohio went ok as I managed to improve my game each day and give myself some momentum going into this week. A tied 27th wasn't what I was after but it was another move in the right direction to secure my immediate goal of being on this years Ryder Cup Team.

This week I am in Michigan at Oakland Hills where the last European Ryder Cup team was victorious. It is a great course and a stern test which I am looking forward to. I really need to go out and have my best finish in a major so far and challenge for the trophy to edge closer to the team and also the end of year goals on the Order of Merit which is fast approaching.
