DIARY // RYDER CUP HERE WE COME! // 02nd September 2008

Ryder Cup, here we come! Now that the last two stressful weeks are finally over and I've managed to secure my place, I believe it is now starting to sink in that I will be playing in the Ryder Cup in two weeks time.

Looking back on the last week, it was a very important tournament in many ways. First off, I managed to turn an early exit on Friday into a Top 10 finish, and hold off the challenges of the other guys chasing me for the final spot, whilst playing my way into form in the process. I felt I was swinging it just as well over the weekend, if not better, than I was earlier in the year. The whole game, including confidence, is exactly where it needs to be. I won't be playing again until the Ryder Cup as I feel I need to rest and recover after a gruelling qualification process.

I am off to the south of France until the weekend to get away from the circus that is currently taking place. And then I will be back to prepare properly before I fly out with the team to Valhalla. I am very excited and can't wait for the next two weeks to hurry by so that I can get on the flight to Kentucky to start the biggest week of my career.

I'd just like to thank everyone for their support and best wishes over the whole year, and especially these last few weeks. I will eventually get back to everyone, but it may take some time!!
